I was planning on heading from FL to Ashville, NC and ride across the BRP to Roanoke next week, but the weather look chilly and 50% chance of rain. 36 in the am is a little to close to 32....burrrrrrrr. I think I waited a little to late in the season to do this ride.

We just got back.

We camped in Murphy, NC at Rivers Edge Mountain Resort. Great facilities and good location.

We rode Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, Helen, Cherokee-Maggie Valley-Ashville and back in the days we were there.

You just about could take any road in any direction and have a great ride.

The weather was great. We hung around till around 10-11 till all the fog cleared before heading out and it was only cool in the shady places. That sun did feel good at times.

We just got back, we did a Monday ( lay out of work & go) ride and it was great. I was surprised at the large number of bikes in the area. Many out of state tags, I guess they had rooms/cabins and were there for several days.
