LOL...Obviously, not. Last thing I want to do is get in a sticky situation or god forbid....drop my bike. I am debating going to ride the blue ridge pkwy next week and concerned about the mountain elevations. I hjave ridden bikes my whole life, but always on flat ground and this bike is the largest. If it were my old fatboy, it wouldnt be a concern.

If you can handle your bike on the flat roads and in city traffic, you can surely handle curves. If I only rode straight flat roads, motorcycling wouldn't be near as fun. Head for the Ozarks, Appalachians or Rockys and have some real fun.

Not concerned about riding twisties....it the stopping when the ground isnt level (meaning high right side, low left side). Too much lean with short legs could end up in diaster. Perhaps I am overthinking it and roads arent as bad as i expect.

Generally, the pull offs and parking areas are reasonably level, more so, than the road banking.

So just pick your parking areas carefully and it should work out with no problem.

You might find it surprising that even in Arkansas we have road engineers that try to prevent those situations in the design of our intersections and such.

Really, once you make a trip to the hill country you be thinking "what took me so long?" There's a reason folks ride from all over the country to get to the hills.

Just got my "Arkansas Motorcycling Guide".
Nice little booklet with some good information to get my 2015 trip planning started.
Thanks Faulkner for the link.

Looks like mid-June is a good time to head down to Arkansas.
July/Aug seems just too hot.

Looking forward to the trip.
