As a former resident of Memphis...
1) interstate BBQ (nearly a hole in wall)
2) central BBQ...hole in wall
3) Rendezvous(if you like dry rub over wet)
4) Blues city, while not a BBQ joint per se good ribs
5) 3 little pigs
6) Memphis BBq company(the one just into Miss)
7) Cozy Corner
BTW...ate a McClards a few weeks ago...amazing what passes for good BBQ....

Bar b que in Memphis, well there is a place right on Interstate 55 north just before you get to West memphis if you're on 40 east bound thats as good as any for Memphis style pulled pork.
If you are ready for dinner in Little Rock go downtown to 6th street on the west end of downtown and look for a place called Doe's Eats . Kind of tuff to find and bring your wallet but they have hands down the biggest best tasting steaks I've ever had. I mean you leave stuffed but not in a miserable way. Your belly is very happy. I talking ecstasy here. They have a specially designed Broiler they use for the steaks and you order them by the pound.

Well ended up going to Beale street. Stopped at the Beale street blues cafe. And later went to rendezvoused for dinner. Good trip. *** was a little sore did 1200mi total. I know that's nothing for touring guys but on my wide glide it can wear on ya. Will be hitting up McClards when I head to hot springs to visit the gangster museum I was told about.
