Florida to California
I'm new to this form but not to riding. Been riding for three years but tomorrow I'm taking a trip from here in pensacola FL to San Diego CA to my next set of orders for the Navy I'm taking I10 to New Mexico then I8 to Cali my ride is a 2000 Sportster 883 ape hanger rat-bike. If any one is heading that way it would be cool to ride with some people then going the whole way solo

Enjoy the ride. I remember the wife and I took off for vacation. No particular place or destination in mind. Went from Springfield, MO. to Las Cruces, NM to Durango, CO to Devil's Tower, WY to Sturgis SD back down to Springfield, MO. We did not think anything about what we were doing but, it was one of our fondest memories on the bike. We had so much fun, that we did it again the very next year going the opposite way. Sleeping bags and a tent. Hard to believe that was 25 years ago! ....ah to be young again!!

Welcome to the forum.
A back rest of some sort will be your best friend on the trip.

Well I made it in one pice the bike not so much lol. took me 5 full days but it was by far the best fun I've had riding! I broke both my exhausts one broke the baffle of the other split on the heder right by the engine but I fixed them both but no baffles at the moment and both the front turn signal brackets broke but for a 15 year old bike it did pretty good. Also it started to have ignution problems so the key has to be wiggled just right for the power to turn on.
And I kinda made a back rest with all my luggage I strapped down to the bike I'll add pics after I get wifi for y'all
