Way to go Jonesee! I met you at Biketoberfest 2011 after we did a SS from NW OH and you did one within FL. I haven't done an IB since, but have done some good rides. Ping me if you ever plan any rides up this way and I'll see if we can meet up again. Just not in the next few months, weather went to s--t way too early this year.
Ride safe, good luck finding the right bike

Zeekie the price of admission is 1,000 miles in 24 hours. No dues, no club. Just follow the rules and prove you did it. The link Idaho sent you explains it all. You should also look at Ironbutt.org. It has a forum that will answer a lot of your questions.

Way to go Jonesee. I know what you mean about fatigue and trying to figure out even the simplest of tasks. Heck after 17 or so hours in the seat I have to stretch 5 minutes before I need to stop or my legs would not be able to hold the bike up. Hell I'm only in my 40's now, I can only hope to do these for another 10 years. Quick question to ya. If you had to create a race/adventure ride with elements of both the HOKA and the IB events, what elements would you incorporate into it? FT
