Default No Trucks on Tail of the Dragon

I read on FB today that they banned 18 wheelers on the Tail of the Dragon. Can't find anything on it when I searched. Anyone else hear anything?

Thanks. Good to know. Next should be RV's and long trailers. At least semi drivers are professional drivers. My closest encounter was with a Mom and Pop pulling a camper. It used up more than half my lane on one of the less tight turns.

one article I read stated tractor trailers over 30 feet, this one says any vehicles over 30 feet....

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Tennessee Department of Transportation review has determined vehicles over 30 feet long will no longer be allowed to use a section of US 129 (SR 115) in Blount County commonly known as "The Dragon."

Default Banned Vehicles

If North Carolina doesn't do the same than it's not worth much because a large truck can't turn around on that road, anywhere until it's out of the curves.
Last time I was on the dragon, 2 Blount county sheriff deputies were escorting a tractor trailer and they were hauling ***.

pretty sure NC already has restrictions regarding trucks driving on US 129

Yeah they have regs also but unless there are cops stationed on the dragon, they won't be enforced. Cops are real heavy on summer weekends but the rest of the time it's very hit and miss...mostly miss.
