Default Redverz tent - Sturgis 2015

Contemplating the Redverz tent for Sturgis.

Buying it for myself and my gear and to tuck the Street Glide into for rain and hail.

Is it over the top? Looks good. Will be spending a week in it.

Buddy is getting one too for his Road Glide.

Park with the motorcycle stand AWAY from you sleeping 😉

I love mine. I've had it since 2011.
I don't often park the bike in it, but it is an option.
More often the 'garage' is used to store my gear and everyone else's.
And it's a great place to hang out in the rain or out of the sun.

Fishheadsaid-- thanks for the hints. I actually saw your video earlier (yesterday). But I appreciate you posting it.

I'm sure buddy and I will park our motorcycles in the garage for a bit -
But maybe the novelty will wear out.

I'd rather park it inside prior to beer time then I wouldn't have to do so at 02:00. Ha ha.

Pretty close to squeezing the trigger on it.

Thanks again

H

I've been looking at the Redverz for some time now and reading all the reviews I can. Sure, it's expensive compared to most tents but I think the quality and features are solid. Redverz introduced a newer model, the Atacama, in December. It sells for $50 more. It will replace the Series II tent as the Series II tent stocks run out according to the very helpful lady I spoke with in Denver. I think she said they were getting low on the green Series II.

Think I'll go for one. I doubt I'd ever put my bagger in the garage but according to their website an Ultra would indeed fit. Instead that area would be nice to hang out in during bad weather, especially using my Kelty 12x12 tarp like an awning to extend the protected area.

Packed size is 9x21. In Redverz' video it fits in the saddlebag of one of those BMW adventure bikes. It would go on the tourpak rack, I imagine. I'm thinking of putting the tent on my passenger seat along with my sleeping bag and chair since I ride solo on a '12 Limited.

How long would you say this tent takes to setup by yourself?

From all the reviews I've read and video on their website I'd say 10-15 minutes.

And it looks like IF there was a hailstorm it might save a dent or two. Unless they're baseball sized.

Two accesses. Lots of room. Just looking for a Canadian retailer as CAD is below 80 cents USD.
