Default NY to the Dragon...suggestions needed

Planning a July ride with a couple of friends. Meeting up in Buffalo. We want to ride the Dragon and hit up Barber Motorsports museum and Wheels Through Time.
Any other must see's? Open to route suggestions since we've never been. We are planning 5 total days.

If you're into muscle cars, Floyd Garrett has a nice museum in Sevierville, TN.

Then near Barber is the Talladega Speedway...it too has a museum.

Well you need to do part of the Blue Ridge parkway.

I'd ride the length of Skyline drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can get it done in about two days without too much dicking around.

Default Kinzua Bridge Overlook

Since you are leaving from Buffalo, make sure you stop at 1721 Lindholm Road, Mount Jewett, 16740 to walk out on the old Kinzua railroad. The bridge was 301 feet tall and 2,052 feet long before it fell, but they put a glass floor at the end so you can look down 300 feet and the view is absolutely georgeous. Take Pa 219 south to Mt Jewet, google Kinzua skywalk or kinzua bridge. It is free also.

I would hit Gettysburg on the way and tour the battlefield. To me this is a don't miss, and the HD Shop there is great with a Civil War décor and theme. Then down the Blue Ridge Parkway to Maggie Valley. This is a great ride and can be done in 2 days without a strain.

Dragon is just a crooked piece of a state highway that has been hyped into a carnival ride. It's a nice ride, but there are tons of roads all over the area, and the rest of the US for that matter, that are better rides. If you have the time catch the Moonshiner 28. This is really a better ride than the Dragon and you can take a pic of you and the bike under the falls.

We talked about the BRP but we thought that due to time constraints we might only ride a section. Trip is for the week after July 4th so the BRP is probably going to be backed up.
Already checked out Kinzua bridge and dam....pretty amazing area in itself. Good ride all in all.
I get what people are saying about the Dragon and there are better rides out there in this great nation. It is something we want to cross off of our "list" though so it is our main destination.
