Nashville to Phoenix I-40
I-40 Nasville to Phoenix is quickest, easiest route.
In Flagstaff, eat at Salsa Bravo if you like Mexican Food, on old Route 66 alongside newer I-40.
Between Flagstaff and Phoenix be sure to go through Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona.
Williams is nice little town on old 66 between Flagstaff and Kingman. It's still set up like '50s or '60s town with old Route 66 style diners. Also old fashion train from Williams to Grand Canyon. Google Williams, Az or Grand Canyon Train
Prescott is great little western town. Used to be territorial/state capital, whiskey row is old street with original bars from 1880's. Palace Bar has oldest original wooden bar west of Mississippi. Wyatt Earp used to hang out there. Google Palace Bar Prescott, Az

I would start with something like the route below....since you have plenty of time you can change your routes as you wish. You don't need reservations in advance for KOA so it should pretty easy to stay here or there an extra day if you like the country. Coming back from Sturgis i would go through Canada....

Thanks for taking the time to make that route. I'll think about the Canada part.
