You can run from State College to Commodore Barry Bridge (CBB) staying on RT322. That's the scenic route. Over the CBB stay on Rt332 to RT55S that ends at RT47 to RT347 to Garden State Parkway to Cape May (CM). Peak summer season is brutal travelling to and from the shore points from Friday evening to Sunday evening. South of 55 is bumper to bumper. You can stay on RT47 in-place of switch to RT347 but that's about it. I make the run about every 3-4 weeks in the summer and I enjoy the ride.

 

South Jersey has a lot of nice destinations, esp food related. The roads in between leave a lot to be desired. Most of it is flat, straightened, and boring. There's a reason I go to Pa to ride.
