Default Where are you camping for STURGIS 75th?

Last year was my first year hitting STURGIS as part of a 10K mile solo road trip. I stayed at the Hill City KOA then the Buffalo Chip then moved on to Yellowstone and beyond. This year my wife is coming along so clean bathroom/showers not in the middle of a pasture was a must so reading some of the other posts it seemed like Creekside Campground was a good choice so I made reservations coming in on Wednesday and leaving Sunday the 9th. We are tenting and this is just part of a 3 week 8K mile trip breaking in the wife's '15 Road King. We leave NH July 25th.

What campground are you staying at?

If your looking for the "no party" crowd check out Bear Butte Creek campground. Bathrooms/showers super clean. Never wanted for hot water. Plenty of shade, great breakfast and dinner, live music and reasonable price. The road in is unpaved but is covered with crushed asphalt, never had a problem. It is across the hiway from The Chip.

Default A great camping facility

Shade Valley campground. I have stayed there the past six rallies. I always get a good night's sleep.

Do a internet search. They have a nice web site.

We stay in Hermosa straight south of Rapid City. We have stayed there 7 or 8 years now. Sure its a ways away from everything but we also go there to ride. Each time we go somewhere its Iron Mountain Road or Needles Highway or Nemo Road.

Have stayed at Deadwood KOA last 8 or 9 years but will be staying at Hill City KOA this year. First time staying here, how did you like it when you were there?
