Mammoth Lakes is also nearby. It's a resort area.

Thanks for all the tips again guys, don't think the passes will be open for another day or two, still snow coming down at the higher elevations yesterday. Looking for nicer weather, I made my way west yesterday after taking US 50 across the mountains. I'm thinking Yosemite may have to wait for another trip, one that I'd like to take later in the year. We just got through 6 months of winter, so snow really is the one thing I don't care to see at all on vacation.

I'll spend the weekend riding up the coast and seeing the Redwoods and then see where I go from there. Probably start making my way back home sometime next week, by then I'll prolly have blown through the budget that I'd kind of set for myself. It's nice to have a reason to come back to California, and I'll be back again someday for sure

The trip for this year is over once again, seems like it went by too quickly. If I would have known how it all would go I'd have done a few things differently, but that's part of it I guess. All in all it was fun, saw some great stuff, now it's time to get back to work so I can do it all again next year.
