One day ride, you're going to miss out on some good food and apple pie. 2 days allows for soaking it all in. For me there is a lot more to it than just the route.

 

Can't stress enough to watch for critters, the cooler it gets, the more they come out. You sure don't want to ruin your day.

There is also a real cool Motorcycle Museum in Vanderpool i think it is...east of Leakey.

I am from Leakey. We're taking group down in October to ride. With Leakey as our start point, we'll get all three of them in in short order... We'll have time for more riding if we choose to do so.

The person who posted the sign of the moto deaths is right on. I've never seen this sign anywhere else... Cyclists and Motorcycilists come from all over the country to ride these challenging roads... They are challenging and can be downright dangerous....

Leakey area has so, so many places to stay. I can only reccomend trying a new spot each time as they all have beauty to offer...

I've done Three Sisters but never in November ( at least they said they were sisters )

 

Actually Cheryl and I are trying to plan an October trip there. It would be cool to ride with some locals. I'll pm you as the date draws nearer.

Depends on the date, but yes if no conflicts.

 

we'll ride down from the metroplex on the 16th. Ride the Sisters on the 17th, and head home on the 18th.
