Default Road trip out to the big D to buy a new bike

Here is how its planned to go, and we all know how plans end up..... Fly into Dallas on the 25th of August to buy a Roadglide off of a nice older guy. I arrive at 5:30 am from there I'm riding to Johnson City , TN. I have never ridden in the state of Arkansas so I'm excited for that part of the trip. In Johnson City I will see a dear good friend I went to high school with we both graduated in 1987. Leaving TN and heading North to a East suburb of Cleveland, Ohio where my renters are due to move out Sept 1st. I will stay in Ohio just long enough to get another renter in the home. Once the house is rented hoping for 4 days or less, I will head West for home. I have to stop in Marblehead Ohio to see my father in law on my way out of Ohio. Then its a day or so of flat lands through Indiana, Iowa, and Nebraska before hitting Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. Once I get to Denver its downhill to my home in Las Vegas, NV.

I'm doing the camping 2 nights- hotel one night plan throughout the 3700 plus miles this proposed trip will take. I'm excited about every mile and will take pics to prove I actually went.... Not sure how often I will post daily but plan on documenting the trip in some form as I go for later recollections. This will be my first time behind the Handlebars of a bagger and literally the first time I will ride a bike with a windshield. I have been on softails for most of my life. Until the next post ride safe my friends!

Best wishes on your trip and with your new bike. Make sure you hydrate and stretch your legs once in while. What color are you riding? That way I will know it is you when you go by me.

Hope all goes as planned... well if you want it to go that way. Guess you could always hope for a detour or 3 in Colorado... and Arkansas.
