18 Day trip from MN out west.....
I will post a few pics. Headed out from Minneapolis August 23rd. Camped half the nights and tented the other half.
6500 miles. I never HAD to put on rain gear, but did toss on pants second from last day going across I70 (traffic and construction hell on Labor Day...should have know better...) when I got spit on with rain.
Anyway, first couple of Days in Black Hills area, then into Wyoming where I stayed at Sinks Canyon State Park, then did Chief Joseph and Beartooth. Camped near Red Lodge. Back down Bearthooth and thru Yellowstone. Then was south of Tetons. Next into Idaho and in Stanley. Off into Oregon for a couple of days to the high desert and eventually down into to mountains.
Then spent 4-5 days in CA. Crescent City and took 199 up and dropped back down to Lassen Nat'l Park. Road some nice roads out that way. Stayed near Yosimite and then eventually near Palm Springs and hit Joshua Tree, Salton Lake and the desert out there. Headed into Utah and hit the Southern Parks. Then, I decided to high tail it home as I had enough and missed the misses. Some of the areas I had ridden back in '08 and '11 and wanted to re-ride. Just an amazing trip all around.
