Went for a fall color ride this weekend. Went to Gunnison, Co. via "Silver Thread" and then Black Canyon of the Gunnison and back over Million Dollar Highway. Color wasn't great over Silver Thread or Black Canyon, but it really exploded on the Million Dollar Highway.

Thanks for the pics. I did that ride after Sturgis this summer and loved the scenery. Nice to see it again.

 

I still say you are one lucky guy to live so close to such nice riding.

On our two week ride to CO this summer, me and a buddy rented a Jeep in Ouray and drove over the mountains in the first picture. It was beautiful.

A fall color ride is one of our annual traditions but we are still waiting for our colors here in Wisconsin. Won't be long. Went for a 100 mile burger ride for lunch yesterday and the colors are starting. My favorite time of year.

Pretty country. My Brother has a cabin at Almont between Gunison and Crested Butte. He just left this morning for his fall Elk hunt
