Default Camping Mattress

Hey all, I was debating about doing some light camping on the bikes. Was kind of thinking when going to one place from another. I'm getting too old sleep on the ground I'm afraid and was wondering if there is a mattress that of course doesn't take up a ton of space? Looking for a queen sized one. I've got a traditional air mattress for cage camping trips but it doesn't compress very small and I would need to pack a pump too.

It isn't queen sized but I swear by Thermarest pads.

If you're looking for small/compact, why Queen-size? Unless you need it, stick to twin airbed, or get the foam rolls.

I have used the self inflating kind. Just open the plug and it fills with air (you can add a little extra by mouth as needed). Close plug. Next morning, just pull plug and firmly roll back up to squeeze air out and close plug at the end.

Just because it's for me and the wife.

Wonder if I can lay 2 of the smaller ones next to each other?

REI. I have two 3.5" pads, 25" x 72" Regular size. R factor of 6. Make sure you get insulated ones. Rolled up they are 6.25" x 26". My sleeping bags both have a sleeve that the pad slides into.

I have two of those, and they clip together to make ~queen size. LOVE THEM! I picked them up on sale though.

the cool thing is if it is just me going, I can save room and only take one. If I am taking a friend, I can take both of them. No pump required as the "pillow" in it is the pump.

Those look pretty good. Kinda pricey though but most stuff that you can back pack with is. How do they pump up?
