Been there every year for decades.
Traffic jams and slow roll traffic in the popular areas.
Daytona really is a small city. In a couple of days you will learn the shortcuts.

Traffic is lightest in the mornings.

The final Sunday empties out quick. Also the best time to shop from vendors.

We usually only get backed up trying to get into the speedway or the Destination dealership.

We were there Mon-Friday and didn't have much traffic. Slow for a few blocks getting across Main Street going south on A1A, but other than that, not really a big deal. I'm sure the weekends are heavier but those were our travel days to and from Virginia.

yes the weekends are always busier than the midweek and I always enjoy my trip. With that being said, the weekends also seem to be more fun for activity. Either way you won't have a problem because the attendance has really dropped considerable.

Daytona is a blast like others have stated just busy around the hot spot areas but still not unbearable if i did it again i would stay more inland and save a few bucks
