UP Long Weekend

When you ride H-58 and get to Grand Marais, hit the Lake Superior Brewing Co. for some good food and a cold beer. The info booklet Bagga was talking about is also online at UPCruising.com it has some good info. If you go in August, when you pull over to take in the sights especially beach areas, keep your eyes peeled for wild blueberry's.

Pictured Rocks, definitely.
Take highway 13 out of Superior around the Bayfield Penninsula. Look for concretions along the shore in Cornucopia. Bayfield is kind of touristy but still a charming town - like a New England fishing village without the smell of salt water. Tasty whitefish livers at Maggie's.
If you're a nature boy, Copper Falls State Park near Mellen is a real nice scenic hike.
Bring your longies though. Even in August some days don't get above 60 degrees with the wind off Gitche Gumee.
Or you could ride the north shore instead -
