I'd head east through Honesdale to the Delaware river, then go north on Rt. 97 on the N.Y. side along the river. Take 17 west, then pick up 81 just before Binghamton, then south toward home. with stops and side trips, you can make it as long or short as you like.

If you have never participated in Rolling Thunder in Washington DC you should.

Ride to the Wall starts at 7AM on Sunday 5/29/16 at HD of Frederick MD and departs at 9AM

You can also ride in on your own as well.

It's a great experience.

Should you choose to go, pack water, sunscreen, non perishable food, etc... as the wait at the Pentagon is an extended amount of time.

Default Memorial Day Weekend

The "run for the wall" is a great thing in terms of patriotism, and I think everyone should go see the wall at least once in their life as an acknowledgement of "that" war and the people that died in it.
The problem I have with the "run" is that you're going with about 10,000 of your best friends and will sit in the Pentagon parking lot for hours as the bike roll out.
The last really big group ride I went on was about 1500 bikes, and I will never do anything close to that again. Too many people just can't keep their minds on the task at hand.
BTW I was a part of that war too.
I personally would rather ride from Scranton east on route 6 to 17m and on to West Point. There is a small but interesting military museum at WP and the ride down the mountain to New Windsor and Newburgh on Storm King highway and 9w is nice.
