Ride to Boston

davidc has it right in the post above.
If you're just going from Greenwich to Boston, drive the car.
Better yet, drive over to Stamford and take the Acela Express. Will cost about the same, be MUCH faster, and you'll have a good time.
If you have a weekend to ride motorcycles, GO NORTH and keep going.
For a 3-day trip out of Danbury, I'd suggest going up into mid-Vermont the first day (Rutland?), do a "loop" up into northern VT (go across the Hero Islands), and back down to Lake George for the second day. On the third day back to Danbury.

I used to commute 130mi one way (1300mi/week) from S.E. CT to Wilmington, MA just north of Boston.
Just wanted to get my butt there quicker than other routes with the least amount of sitting in traffic.
I'll defer to others for scenic routes.
Ride safe.

Boston has the most aggressive drivers in the nation. Interstate 84 through Danbury at peak rush hour is a walk in the park compared to normal Boston traffic. If you decide to go there, rent an army tank for protection instead of a motorcycle. The suggestion of the trip to VT and upstate NY state sounds like a much better idea.

I work in Boston, there is no way I'd ride into town on 4th of July weekend.
I'm 35 miles away from the city and I've gotten to the point that I won't even take the bike to work anymore on a regular weekday.
You get close to the city limits and the traffic, lights, bicycles and pedestrians all suck.
Besides all the normal crazies you have another 500,000 people coming into town on the 4th weekend for the concert and fireworks.
There will be detours, street closings and normal streets become one way.
I'm being totally honest that I wouldn't even take my car into town on the weekend of the 4th.

LOL it's not that bad. I ride in town all the time. Sure there's gonna be traffic. But what big city doesn't? Having a bike might give you an advantage when it comes to parking.
