Thanks all who mentioned a backrest. I have that one covered since I pulled it from my Electra Glide trade in. I wound up getting some rider beads and got them installed today. Iron Butt in 11 days, hope they work.

Airhawk! Fill it up half way.

Beads definitely flow a lot of air so much that I never used mine in the spring or late fall.

I bought a gel pad, hated the darn thing. Couldn't keep it under my backside. Sent the stock seat to Mean City Cycles and had it narrowed down, lowered and memory foam installed. That helped a little, kinda pricey though. Best thing I found was a good pair of compression drawers. They seem to wear well and offer some slick surfaces between your pants and UW. They wick away moisture and hold your backside tightly so it doesn't spread out all over. Some talc in the shorts also helps.

Default My 2 Cents

I've tried everything from Airhawk /gelpads/ sheepskin... the best solution for me anyway, was a $10 foam seat cushion from Wal-mart. It works great!!!
However , I do agree about the backrest and won't leave home without it!
