I tried the Under Armour suggestion and they suggest snug sizing. I may have gone a bit to snug, I do not like the ones I have but I can hit notes that Celine Deon and Mariah Carey can't match after a 300 mile plus ride.

I have a sheepskin. I purchased a full hide at Costco for $35 and cut my own.
It works great.
I found a gel pad at a yard sale for $5 and it works well and stays in place.
Don't let it sit uncovered in the sun for too long, it will roast your butt.

The beads worked great. Never had an issue in 4450 miles over 9 days. I actually ditched the back rest and used my kuryakyn tombstone bag. It fit perfectly in the passenger seat and gave me a taller backrest. The extra storage space didn't hurt either.

All in all a great trip. The Continental Divide, Million Dollar Highway, Four Corners, Monument Valley, Devils Highway and of course some corner in Winslow Arizona.

Another vote for Airhawk. Don't know why I waited so long.

I haven't tried Under Armour, but I have tried ExOfficio Give-N-Go Boxer Briefs. Give them a go. Comfortable and you can wash them in a sink and they dry quickly. They're popular with travelers and backpackers.

Sheepskin, can easily rotate usage. Easy to roll up and put away if you don't need/want. Gives option for a different feel, change at gas stops as desired.

Don't play it too close to your mirrors...... might crack.

Cheaper versions lose their hold. going to splurge on under armors myself next round. These also dry very quickly after a washing
