So I just got back From My Trip, Upstate NY, across Vermont, North To Mt Wash. This was Wednesday I got there. The Mountain Was Closed to Bikes. 78 MPH winds and Mud. They Told Me Probably be Closed Thurs also. So I rode south to N Conway. I found this Great little road, Hurricane Mtn Road. It was Only 2 miles up and 2 down. It was A Great little ride, Made Me smile. Then I rode to Salem, Ma and Onto Cape Cod. I had A Great Little tip all in all. It Least until I had to Do 95S Through Conn, NY and Jersey!

Glad to hear you got to try Hurricane, Rydeer. It has some nice challenging turns, I think the ride from N Conway over to 113 is better than the opposite but it is fun to do either way. We usually go from N Conway side over to 113 and up through Evans Notch and then down Pinkham and through Crawford and Franconia during leaf season as a nice loop ride. We always try to end with "Lupper" at either Woodstock Tavern or Horsefeathers/Delaneys dependent on time of day and direction.
Enjoy!

It/s different than most rides down there--by that ,I mean you keep changing roads[rt#s] --My wife is my co pilot, so she would just tell me turn right on such and such then left on such and such----very challenging with a passenger and luggage-but enjoyable--we did the 16 days with only one reservation.was kinda fun, stayed in a treehouse one night in NC--Enjoy your trip -hope the weather cooperates ------Rocker
