Thanks to all.
I would be in Durango Monday the 26th thru Thur the 29th
Weather forecast looks good (Durango-Intellicast) - except a bit cool.
Ya'll think this is accurate or should I just try for next year?

Do your ride sooner, rather than later...

We all know why your making a Colorado run. Looks good to me. I wish I was going with ya. Went up there in August and had a Blast. I really like Silverton though.
Have Fun!
Where you from in SE Texas?

I rode the MDH a couple of weeks ago, in fact I rode the San Juan Loop which includes it. The roads are in good shape as far as repair is concerned. Can't vouch for the weather conditions though.

I personally wouldn't worry about the temp, it'll probably be cool to downright cold. Just avoid the frozen precip.

Good luck!

Make sure you watch that video someone posted on MDH about riding in the rain.

It's been snowing pretty good in the Lake City and Silverton areas today. It's supposed to clear up next week.

Default Snow

Snow starts around 8,000 feet with several inches above 10,000 and more up higher.

Santa Fe, Chama, Pagosa Springs to Durango is a nice ride. I looked at the forecast for Durango and Grand Junction and right now the weather looks good.
Good luck, I hope you have a great trip.
