A few of us are heading down to Bridge Day, from upstate PA. We want to stay near Clarksburg or Fairmont, and ride down to the bridge on Saturday. I've stayed at Hampton in Clarksburg, but there wasn't much for restaurants to walk to. Can anybody tell me where there's a decent motel around there, where we can walk to restaurants (staying 2 nights), not far from 79, and secure parking. (Smalltown USA --- I'm assuming secure bike parking overnight isn't a problem near Clarksburg or Fairmont.) Even a Days Inn that's less money, that's not a dump, or something like that. Doesn't have to be Hampton.

I'm not really familiar with motels close to home. FWIW Morgantown is maybe 20 miles north on I-79 from Fairmont and there's a new LaQuinta right off exit 155 in the Gateway Center. Right next to it is The Green Turtle bar and restaurant, and Triple S Harley Davidson.
