Default Giddy Up Texas

Any one heading to New Braunfels for the show this year? Im thinking about making it a long weekend. Heading south down the 90 out of El Paso. Any suggestions on a good half way point to stop for the night?

It's a vintage chopper show in New Braunfels.

I keep meaning to change my location. The Army decided it would be better for me to live in El Paso for a while. I moved to EP last about 18 months ago.

If you are taking 90 east from Van Horn, if it were me and I just had to split up the ride, I was stop overnight in Del Rio. They have real hotels there. If you want to camp, there is camping at Seminole Canyon State Park in Comstock.

Bonus to Del Rio is you can you can take US-90 east to Uvalde to US-83 to TX-55 to Camp Wood. Then take one leg of the 3 Sisters (TX-377) through Leakey and all the way to Medina. Awesome ride. From there take a right on 16 to Bandera, then pick up TX-46 all the way into New Braunfels.
Or my preferred route ... from Medina, right on TX-16, then left on FM-2828, left on TX-173, right on FM-480, right on TX-27 to Comfort, left on FM-473, right on FM-1376 in Sisterdale (to stay on FM-377), left on FM-377, right on US-281, left on FM-306 to New Braunfels.
