Yes it is!
I worked up on top of the pass in 09 and 12 during the winter, if you've never been there in the winter, you're really missing something!

I thought you meant roadside sights close to where you live, so here are a few near me. All within a 2 hour ride. Great riding in PA, and lots to see.

1. PA Grand Canyon. 10 miles from my house.
2. Just a nice, twisty, fun ride.
3. Sherman Lighthouse. Built for no particular reason except the guy likes lighthouses!
4. Hyner View State Park.
5. Kinda cool to watch hang-gliding at Hyner View.
6. Horseshoe Curve National Landmark.
7. Village of Benezette. Largest population of free-roaming elk east of CO.
8. Kinzua Bridge State Park. Scenic train ride bridge blown down by a tornado. New visitors ctr, and a walkway out to the end of the bridge.

Like this? Late May both times. First pic in the car in 2013, second pic last year on the scooter. I spent about 2 hrs staring at the Tetons in different places and crying like a baby a couple of times. Absolutely stunning (and humbling) especially with the snow.

I hadn't been to Denver in a while, but it seemed so much bigger back then.
