I plan to ride to Myrtle Beach from NYC in May. Which way would be better 95 south to NC than 40 east, or take the coast line 95 south to Delaware than 1, 13/17 south ?? or another route ??? Looking to make time more than touring.

I've ridden down to Myrtle from NYC many times.

Leaving at 6 or 7 am, I've usually gotten there around 10pm or so.

The route I always take is I-95 south to I-40 east.. then, when you get into the Wilmington area, take I-140 south a little bit to where it meets RT 17.

Take RT 17 south straight into Myrtle.

 

If making time is the issue, take I95 to Pedro south of the Border, that is Rt.501, 501 takes you into the center of myrtle beach.

If you never done the 1/13/17 rt you dont know what your missing. Done that three times on the bike from Philadelphia area.
