Default Suggestions if ya got em

Thinking about doing a little road trip from the Rio Grande Valley to Roswell,NM and may try to turn this into an Iron Butt Saddle Sore run for the trip up.
What I'm looking for are suggestions on a nice route from San Antonio into Roswell. Direct line from Harlingen (where I would be leaving from) to Roswell is a bit short of the 1000 mi needed for the IBA. Ideas, thoughts and suggestions welcome.

Thanks to both of you. Both routes take it over the required 1k. Once I get everything planned out I'll make sure I get some pictures and post back on here to let you know how it went.

Thanks again to both of you.
