One of my favorite parts of touring is I always try to find the best local food . I avoid chains and stick to local restaurants and drive-ins as much as possible.

If you are ever in Lexington Ky, check out the Parkette Drive-in on New Circle Rd.

They still have car-hops and the strawberry pie (in season) is outstanding!

As far as the best cooking in Ky., you'll have to come to my house.

Chopping Block Steakhouse - Mena, AR

 

Rutts Hut, River Road Clifton, NJ. Next to Rt.3 Best hot Dogs in the world.

 

Jimbo's grill in Hocking Hills, Ohio. Great food and a nice atmosphere.

 

The place at the bottom of the Rattlesnake Pass, Boognans Oasis I think is the name.
Great shakes at the halfway point of a really cool road.

 

I liked the restaurant in Tortilla Flats AZ. Great ride out to it and the best Nacho Grande I have had.
