Longest for me was 700 miles, Baton Rouge, LA -- Blackwell, OK, on the way to Sturgis last year. Long (14 hours), hot day!

Last year my brother and I did a 5K+ mile loop from the east coast to CO down to the Grand Canyon, across NM, TX, then back home in less than 10 days with 2 days in CO. Not bragging just another take on my idea of a long ride. We're planning a coast to coast ride in 2015, may have to allow 2 weeks for that one.

Used to ride from Wichita to Boulder a couple of times a month to visit a sick friend. Don't do that now, he's gone.

Sounds like a beautiful ride Romeo, Nice looking bike too. 600 mi thru flat fairly straight roads is a big difference than 300mi thru hairpin twisties in the Blue ridge Mtns. The more I ride the further I want to go. Take a few minutes to stop and stretch keeps me going.

I have figured that out also Aces. It is amazing how much better and refreshed you feel after stretching a bit.

Dang, I hope Cheryl doesn't get ahold of this thread. She's got more passenger miles under her belt in the last 3 years than a lot have in a lifetime. Here she is 2nd day of riding and 1000 miles from home with 200 more to go. Imo she's pretty easy on the eyes even after a long day's ride.

That said, you did a nice ride, especially on a bike not kitted out for touring. Big difference between those miles on your bike and mine.

Good luck on the windshield. It's a great thing when you find one that works. But, they can make turbulence even worse. I would try to demo them before buying.

I hate when guys buy these dressers and then don't put miles on them. Our HOG support club has a major run coming up the first week of July, if it's not below 70 degrees or higher than 81. Members who complete this run in one day are eligible for our jelly butt patch. I'm hoping we can finish with just one or two rest stops, because man, neutral is a bitch to find. Attached below is our route. I am hoping we are not biting off too much, as we have members trailering to the starting point from as far as 35 miles away. Luckily there is a Ramada Inn nearby.
