Thanks SunPilot.....enjoyed your write up and the pics. In all the years I've ridden in the Northwest I never made it to Crater Lake. Your post made me commit to a mid-June ride over there.

 

I hope you make it there. It was a highlight of the ride. The rim is about 1800 feet above the lake, and I think the water is 1800 feet deep! The ride up the volcano has some interesting formations also, where you can see how the ground was just torn apart as the volcano rose from the ground... Post some pics if you go
