Yep, just met a friend who rode I-70 from Rifle to Grand Junction. Rained hard all the way. If you come in May I-70 should be good. Usually no snow, but you never know. Depends on where to come south to hit I-70.

September is my favorite time to ride in the rockies. Low traffic (kids are in school) Aspen leaves start to turn, usually peak around the 20th. Straight west to Buena Vista Colorado is a beautiful ride through the south park area. Buena Vista is a cute little town to hang out along the Arkansas River. There is is the Princeton Hot Springs resort. Great place for a swim in the pool or river. From there you can keep going South West to the 4 Corners area. Ourary CO is another cute little town. Lots to see if you can make the time.

We went the middle of June last year to Durango. Had great weather.
