Hi bobby, dave from uk, have done lots of riding around the Colorado area, if you get chance to get down to the ouray area some good roads that way, if not have a look at a tourist map pick the scenic routes out, you are spoilt for choice in co. regards. Dave

Good luck riding in Colorado in April. They had snow yesterday. March and April are their snowiest months of the year.

Pikes Peak, Cripple Creek, Garden of the Gods. Plan on possible snow, wind, and cold.

Yup, 7 inches of snow on my truck Thursday morning. A lot has melted over the last few days. Lots of great places to ride up here. Check out some routes through the ski country... Breckenridge, Vail, Aspen, etc...

Hopefully the weather will cooperate for you this time of year.

It will be COLD at altitude. Be prepared! Lots of snow (snowpack levels are high). SJ Ron

<<the mid-April long range outlook for Lake City CO elevation 8700 shows high temps in the 30s/40s with lows in the teens and snow showers>>

i appreciate everyone's honest feedback.. If i keep my runs to the south out the state will i fair better? Also, with the proper gear is it at least doable or will i be miserable regardless? I would like to have gone in a couple months however didn't have that option...
