Default Must See/Do question

Finally finalized our trip (it has only changed about 3 times). We are leaving next Friday from SE Okla and heading to Panama City Beach. What are some of the must sees and dos from say Gulfport, Ms to Panama City Beach? We are thinking about stopping at the Gulfport memorial day blowout on Saturday and checking that out. but we will have the rest of the day on Saturday and all day sunday and most of the day on Monday for sight seeing and riding. If there is anything that you know about that we need to stop and see, let me know.

thanks,
MH

You missed Thunder Beach in PCB a couple of weeks ago. I would skip Biloxi and stop at the Pensacola NAS Naval Air Museum, can also see Ft Barrancas & lighthouse. If you come in on I10 be careful as it will be crowded with cars, backs up right before the Mobile tunnel.

Stay off Hwy 98 from Pensacola to Destin a parking lot. On the way to PCB I'd get off on 81 and take it down to 20 and across to 79. Red bay cafe is on 81 a good little lunch spot. Also not too far from the 81 & 20 intersection is The Outpost biker bar good place on Sunday.

Plenty of rides and things to do but the crowds will be out.

The blow out has been out shined by the Sandy Hook,MS party held the same weekend. For touristy type attractions... If you are into casinos Biloxi comes to mind. If you are passing thru Gulport to PCB you must be on I-10, theres a Nasa facility you can visit. Once your are in Mobile, Al just east theres is the USS Alabama battleship, Pensacola has the Naval museum and nice beaches. If the wife likes to shop you can stop in Destin/Sandestin and hit the outlet malls with all the big names plus smaller shops, also nice beaches. Panama City is different than PC BEACH. I stay away from panama city itself...but PCB is alright. The time you'll be there is Summer break so probably a lot of visitors on vacation.

After the US Alabama
ride to LULUs in Golf Shores Alabama
and have a piece of Key Lime pie.

Best pie anywhere

Take a left and ride along the ocean till you
get to the Naval Museum

Hey, I live in Panama City. That's funny what the other poster said about avoiding Panama City. Unless you're a poser, you know ..... the guy who just wants to look really cool riding into a biker bar, all of us locals know the best riding is from Panama City heading east on Hwy 98. I would visit Beck Ave in old Saint Andrews. Old seaport town (just a part of Panama City) with numerous good seafood restaurants. Probably the nicest ride in the entire area is Hwy 98 from Panama City through Apalachicola to Eastpoint. From Eastpoint take the bridge road over to St George Island and dine at the Blue Parrot. If you like lots of water, very little traffic, cool coastal towns and good eats, you will love this ride.
