If you have a full day available and start at Durango, a great loop ride (which includes two of the BEST roads I've been on in my life) is to go north out of Durango on 550 to Montrose, then east on 50 to 149. Take that south through Lake City and finally intersects 160. Go west on 160 through Pagosa Springs and back to Durango. Yes, it is a long trip, but worth it. Use Lake City as the 1/2 way point for lunch.

Right now might not be too bad for the Devil's Highway. Temps in the 4 Corners have been in the mid 80's with a little rain and some cloud cover. I heard that temps in Tucson were just 92 or so this last week. That would make the hot part of the road doable.

I was on that very train ride that got mooned by the 2 girls. By the pictures I took it looked like we were even in the same car. The train ride was on 7-7-14. What a small world.

The train ride was fantastic as is the ride from Durango to Ouray.

On the Enchanted Circle, I recco staying in Red River. Great little town, with a thriving night life. Dinner at Sundance or Texas Red's is great! Drinkin and Dancin at the Mother Lode is always good.
