Bought a REI Passage 2 tent with a footprint, a ALPS Mountaineering Diamondback 15 sleeping bag,a REI backpacker pillow and a Klymit sleeping pad today. I think I have a good start to getting some lightweight camping gear assembled.

Seeing all of those motorcycle riders with their gear while I was vacationing in Colorado 2 weeks ago has motivated me to do the same. I need a motorcycle camping road trip. This thread has given some great insights.
