Default Thinking about going to Biketoberfest in Daytona

Ive been to Daytona Bike week 3 times but never to Biketoberfest in October. How is it? Is it worth the trip? I looked at rooms online and I can get a room anywhere between $130-$200 a night. That don't seem too bad. Im looking in the Ormond Beach area.

Do Not stay at the Days Inn Ormond Beach. The place was disgusting.

Less people and better weather than Bike Week. For me I can ride to Biketoberfest without suffering too bad with the cold, it should be warm by Virginia. BW is just not possible from the Northeast without a lot of suffering. Might not warm up until Florida, or not at all.

Take a ride give it a shot, it will be a good time.

I love biketoberfest, go, just bring a jacket and maybe rain gear. Perfect time to tent out if that's for you.

the la quinta in ormond beach is marginal at best. we stayed there this year during bikeweek...it is a good ride from there to main street or the race track. i would pay the extra money and stay closer to the action.

Is there a place on the beach where you can park outside of your room? (sorry for the hijack)

I prefer Biktoberfest over Bike week....its only a matter of time before it gets expanded to a week long event,I'm not sure if that will hurt it or not,not as many vendors for the 3 day event but the roads are less congested and the weather is usually awesome
