Default Yosemite in September

I was going to Yosemite and ride some the mountains and coast line in California, Oregon and Washington in August but getting off work is not looking good. Can anybody tell me what the weather would be like if I go in September would I get into cold temps and snow in the mountains ?

I'd do it! You might see some cooler temps, but the majority of tourists are gone and the fall colors should be coming around. Golden mountains capped with a fresh dust of snow is beautiful. Here's a link with temperature averages for that time of year:

FYI, we camped in West Yellowstone late August last year, low 30's at night. High 70's and perfect during the day, but it will get cold at night.

I found the tourists and traffic not bad on the bike, but I can see it being an issue in a car or worse in an RV.

Went to Yosemite last fall it was empty, the only negative about visiting in the fall is that most of the waterfalls are down to a trickle. But having the room to move around easily makes up for that.

Great pic man. Beautiful scenery and NO crowd. I have 8 days off beginning Aug 19th and am really planning on heading to Yellowstone, the Tetons, and catch a rodeo in Cody. Lord willin' and the creek don't rise!

Thanks guys I really appreciate the info. Sounds like it might work out better than august. That will make the better half feel better she was about ready to divorce me when I said I didn't think I could get off work. This forum is always great for info. Thanks again
