The Hottest place I have ever been was the Mojave desert. The second hottest was Northern Arkansas a few years ago. I called it Arkanhot. Nice riding but man the weather was awful. Pick a cool month and enjoy.

I've ridden through areas where the heat was withering. Death Valley with the temps around 120 and parts of AZ over 115. Pretty brutal and a couple of guys in my group had a real tough time.

The link below shows the average monthly temps and rainfall for Eureka Springs. We likely will go in July which is unfortunately the hottest month, but at least it is one of the driest.

This year ...so far... has been void of those high pressure ridge scenarios that bless us with 100 degree days. It is not like that all summer every summer. Watch the weather. And... we have shade

I just got back from a Colorado to Tennessee ride last week. I was amazed at how beautiful Northern Arkansas is. Great riding and I'm from the riding capital of the world, Eastern Tennessee.

Www.motorcycleroads.com and click on Arkansas. Several rides posted. And contact Harrison Chamber of Commerce for maps of the area. My favorite is state road 123 out by Mt. Judea. There are several threads here from others in Ark with good ride route. July will be warm!

Do a search for "Arkansas Bucket List " on here. Lots of great information in that thread. There are awesome roads every where in the mountains there. Hwy 123 up Mount Judea is one of my favorites. Also, it's worth the ride to go to the Oark General Store for the Buttermilk Pie.

I have lived in Mountain View, Clinton, Heber Springs, and have just bought a place finally in Higden near Sugarloaf Rec area on Greers Ferry. Hwy 123 is bar none my favorite ride in the state. Good twisties, good roads, and beautiful scenery. I like to run it from the US 65 to Hwy7 and then ride 7 through Jasper to Harrison and back home.

Yeah, July-August would not be my preferred riding months in Arkansas, though this year has been very mild. May-June is good. September, October, and early November is usually awesome.
