I've rode it. Its a gravel road with switchbacks but its not bad. Very few vehicles and great views of the Navajo reservation and Monument Valley.

I've done it multiple times in both directions. It's a breeze. I'll be riding it again uphill in less than 48 hours.

We rode it in 2002 with four couples on Electra Glides, so everyone 2 up fully loaded. If you are comfortable riding on gravel and take it easy it is a great ride and wonderful views. Also watch the weather. I would not like to ride it in the wet. We were lucky as when we came down the weather was perfect. A couple of hours later as we had lunch in Mexican Hat a wind storm hit and we rode through Monument Valley to Tuba City in 50+ mph winds and then added rain. We were glad not to be on the Dugway in those conditions.

I've rode down a few years ago with no problems. I was a bit nervous as I'm a little 'height challenged' so I was worried but all worries for nothing. As beautiful as going down, the roads to and from in either direction were spectacular. Ran into a group at a motel before we headed down that rode up in the rain. The son of one of the guys had little experience and he seemed to do fine so I think the hype is more than the bite. Have fun . . .

It will beat up your bike. There are other choices to see the same sights that are equally beautiful but then you wouldn't be able to say you did the Moki Dugway.

Yep.. While returning to Albuquerque from Arches National Park last August, we took a
spur-of-the-moment diversion through Monument Valley and the "normal" roads are just
fine...

(I got my Moki Dugway chops a couple years ago.. )..
