I plan on doing this exact trip next year, including the ferry to/from Yarmouth. And I did wonder about bed vs reclining chairs, so thanks for that bit of detail, as well as the pictures of how they secure the bikes on the ferry.

Great pictures, and great thread!

Great trip, looks like you had an awesome time.

My wife and I made this trip as well from CT. 8/9 - 8/22.
Took the ferry over from NB to Digby NS and headed up to Baddeck where we stayed four days to ride the Cabot Trail and other areas of Cape Brenton.

For anyone taking the ferry crossing from NB be advised that NB and NS are on atlantic time one hr ahead of eastern time, I did not know this and missed the ferry along with others, (double dumb *** on me) girl at terminal says it happens often.

After Baddeck we headed over to PEI for a few days and explored the island. Started the trek home by crossing the Confederation bridge on a very windy day, longest eight miles I ever rode, leaning against the wind while semi's are passing by you.
Made it to Yarmouth that night then took the new ferry to Portland the next morning, 2,800+ miles later we were home.

lol its a love/hate for most, but ill tell you what, victory has the luggage system and motor/chassis sorted out, that thing could have held everything i had on my bike plus theirs and the motor/chassis is awesome. personally i wouldnt get one, but for my 6'2 old man it fits him perfect..
