I didn't see any recent posts. Anyone going on the Alabama Trail of Tears ride next weekend? I have heard about it for years and thought now I have a touring bike it can be an excuse for a ride for a couple of days.

Anyone who has gone, anything I need to look out for, or suggestions?

Did the Tof T back in 2001 right after the 9/11 attacks. I remember riding down from Indiana on I65 and not seeing a single airplane or jet in the skies. Really weird feeling. All along the ride route thousands of people with American flags as we rode from Nashville to Muscle Shoals. Will never forget that ride. Wish I could do it again.

 

I read where the T of T was cancelled---glad it's back

 

The ride was Canceled at one time. one of the 2 founders died in early 2014. There was enough people that wanted the ride to continue so it did. I learned of it from an ad in Thunder Roads Magazine

The ride was Wonderful , thousands showed up and I only saw a couple of accidents none too serious, This was my first time and it was fun
