Default Studs or no studs? New seat

Hi guys, curious to know what you think about putting a studded seat on a 2005 CVO Electra glide? I think I am going with a Mustang seat, I just cannot take the stock seat anymore. I am going to keep original seat, but the black centered studs really break the plain finish on the Mustang seats and I am considering it, but am I thinking a bit to far outside the box? Thanks for the opinions in advance.

I'm just messing' with you man. What you're asking is a matter of personal preference and can only be answered by you. Studs will not look any better or worse on your bike than they would on any other bike. If you like them then go for it, if you don't then you know what to do.

Thanks for the post. I just ordered it with studs. I do like them, however, I ordered the new seat with intentions of keeping my gorgeous but uncomfortable stock seat for local riding (short rides). I bought the mustang to do the once to three times a year long hauls. I went ahead and bought a new back rest system with the hydraulic mounting kit. I found an EXCELLENT deal on both the seat and backrest system. Got the seat, with studs. Happy about both purchases. I been wanting this backrest system anyway, new seat, time to do it.

I have had both studs and no studs on different bikes in the past. Studs usually add a "nostalgic" throw back to the past look on a bike. For our particular bikes I prefer no studs so I went with a custom covered seat for a different look.

I spent a lot of time trying to find someone willing to cover a mustang seat and finally gave up. Big complaints about rivets but worst complaint was cover is glued to foam. I called mustang seats and they verified this. Those that said they would do it wanted as much as the seat, backrest, and pillion all costs together. I decided I would try this route and use stock seat locally. I bought the mustang for long haul rides. I have to admit your seat is the best I have seen. Love it..

have your cool looking uncomfortable seat re fitted to you.
There are several of them that are really good at what they do.
I will have a seat redone before buying a expensive seat. Mainly I get what I want, cool looks and comfort.
