I bought a new 2014 Jeep that was built 03/2013. They came out early for the 2014 model year. No matter how you look at it, it's a 2014 model year vehicle. I don't see what the op is trying to point out??

 

Most production on model years is completed and released in prior year. It used to be that the new model wouldn't be released until December but now it's a race to release the new model so they are built earlier. If you want a bike built in 2015 it will be late model released in march (built December maybe January), after that they will be building the 2016 models.

 

They make the current model year up until June or July of that model year. Good example is the end of May 2013 we took the Steel Toe Tour at the York plant. I watched them putting together 2013 bikes. There were a good amount of CVOs running through the line that day also. It is possible to get the M.Y. bike produced in that model year, however, living across the ocean, you may be very limited to the availability because of the shipping times.

 

I was trying to find out if there is any way to see (other than by translating codes) what the built year/date of a CVO Limited is IE a sticker or date stamp on the frame (like on my 07 Ultra).
My dealer first told me that my ordered bike would be built in 2015. He now says "it will be in 2014" but why do you care?
I care because, this is what was stipulated by me when I ordered and promised by the dealer when I handed over some $16,000.00 in deposits.
It may be seen as trivial by most but, it is important to me.

 

I know mine was built in 14 as its getting prepped for me to pick it up on saturday, only bought it yesterday!!
