2015 CVO Road Glide Fork Lock switch

OK .......feel foolish in that I can't figure out how to slide out that horse-shoe shaped chrome cover :-[. Read to insert a small screwdriver or paperclip in the notch at the bottom and "it'll just slide right out"?!?!?! Tried pushing, poking & pressing in every direction while I'm trying to slide the chrome piece off and nothing is happening :'(! OhioBellBoy said he broke the part and had to order a new one ........don't want to go there. Any help with exactly how this thing is held in place and how to free it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Many thanks OBB .........that did the trick ! Turns out the piece needs to be lifted upwards before it'll slide out ....or back in as you pointed out.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread. Was helping a buddy adjust the handlebars on his '16 CVO RG the other day and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to remove the ignition switch.
Done it many times on the older bikes with the little pin under the switch.
CVO's are actually easier, you don't even need to remove the switch!

Somewhat related, I was at service one day and noticed the service writer trying to turn my fork lock switch to turn the bike on. Had to chuckle a bit at how little he knew about the CVO's. As OBB mentioned the little plastic tab on the bottom of the switch cover is very delicate. I bent mine slightly removing for adjusting the bars but was able to bend it back into position without breaking it.
