I'm test riding and hopefully buying my first Wide Glide tomorrow, at a car dealership. They can't help me at all with the bike, but the price is right. I'm not new to bikes and have had Harley's before so I can feel decent about buying it after riding it, but I was wondering what the SCREAMING EAGLE air intake means on the bike, along with the V&H pipes. Is the airbox very important? I guess I'll find out when I twist the throttle tomorrow!

 

It means that it most likely has had a "Stage 1" upgrade done to the powerplant and the bikes ECM. If you were as proficient as you say you are with HD's, then you would have known this. My advice to you is to keep reading up on HD's. Good luck on your purchase. BTW, just because it's got a SE a/c on the bike, that alone doesn't mean that it belongs in the Screaming Eagle Forum. But you'd know that since you've had Harleys before.
