Saddle bag retainers
I didn't like the big bulky saddle bag retainers. I replaced them with these from JP Cycles. I had these on the road glide and they worked well. Here is a pic..

Elky, do you have a link or a part number for these? Do they use same threaded back plate or did you replace with new

JP Cycles part number 724-396, they come with new pieces for the back plate. Reda saddlebag locks. here's a pic

I have them on my Ultra.
Easy to install and work fine.

You can get basically the same items at Lowes. They carry a long and short 5/16 back threaded clip and a 5/16 ****. Reuse your existing large washer. Been on my '15 RGU since the original recall of the spring retainers.
