Boom Audio Lower Speakers
#11
The Lower Fairing Speakers are listed as Stage I and Stage II.
When installing an additional Stage II Amp for the lowers - the Tweeter Output from that Amp is not Used..
Thus really just a Stage I speaker setup (75 watt per speaker) anyway..
I purchased a 2017 CVO Limited..
After installing a Stage II system - ( 2 Amps w/ 4 Speakers ) >> Decided Stage II not worth the extra cost in speaker output > Still just 4 speakers and not enough extra volume
So converted to Stage I ( 2 Amps - 8 Speakers )
I added a second Amp under the Tour Pak - and ran the speaker leads to the Stage I Tour Pak Speakers and to the Stage I Saddle Bag speakers
From Factory Stage I Amp (Fairing) ran rear leads up to Fairing Lower Speakers - and of course keeping fairing speakers
Flashed Radio for Two Amps (Front and Rear) Fader work front to rear amps. Auto-volume works

Personally I tore all the BOOM ll junk out of both my 15 & 17 CVOSG's and installed Arc Audio Amp and Focal Speakers using only 1 Amp in the fairing and freeing up my saddle bag space.... And let me tell you it blows away the BOOM ll setup by far.... maintained all the factory wiring and fabricated a few wire harnesses that made it all plug and play. The '17 included the saddle bag locks in the audio wiring harness, again all plug and play maintaining the factory harness.
